Mechanical Keyboard Kits

A keyboard kit is the case, plate, PCB, and stabilizers — but not switches or keycaps. Kits are the right pick when you want to build a custom mechanical keyboard from scratch and pick every component yourself.

What you still need

  • Switches — pick by feel: linear, tactile, or clicky.
  • Keycaps — pick by profile and material.
  • Optional — case foam, lubed stabs, custom cable.

Quick advice

For first builds, start with the Tofu60 3.0 or Tofu65 3.0.

Both kits are well-documented, hot-swap, and have excellent parts compatibility. The Aepex 60 makes more sense once you already know what you want from a build and want a more refined case.

Plan switches and keycaps before ordering the kit. Most builds get held up waiting on a single missing component.
